Unit 8: Home Tour

Rooms of a house, furniture; visitors from other countries. Describing locations; reading a map. Review of letter writing.
The unit lasts for 5 days.

Objectives

Students will be able to:
  • Welcome someone
  • Describe the rooms in a house orally and in writing
  • Compare and contrast various homes

Lessons

Meeting the Language Learning Continuum

  • Students will demonstrate Stage 1 Functions while
    -  engaging in conversations about homes.
    -  obtaining and providing information about homes.
    -  reading about several homes.
    -  writing a description of their bedroom.
    -  writing a description of an ideal home.
